vtec controller

Default vtec controller

how hard is it to install a vtec controller. id prefer not to pay someone else to do it unless i have too. thanks

do you have it already, or are you planning on buying it? I've never heard anythin good about VTEC controllers. Doesnt seem like they're be very safe, consdiering VTEC is already programmed to come on at the best possibile RPMs, so messing with it doenst seem like itd do you very good. I dont think its a good idea.....

But on the other hand, if you already have it, i have no idea how to install it and am absolutely no help

imo vtec controllers are bad news. vtec is set at the optimum rpm by the engineers at honda. why would want to change it?? i would sell it and use the money to buy another performance upgrade.

yea thats what i'm saying, Honda alreayd has the VTEC set at primetime, so i say dont mess with the VTEC

they aregood in certain situations such as retarding the vtec for boost or nitrous purposes but as a stand alone mod i agree don't mess with it.
