vtec question.

ok... when im in my car and i zoom zoom that *****. i cant ever feel the vtec kick in... is this common? or is something messed up?

if u drive a..... ford or sumthin with a 4 cylender, you might notice the diffrence in sound and feel.

I could never tell either until I replaced the stock airbox with my AEM SRI, then the change in tone was much more noticeable.

yeah, vtec doesnt usually make itself clearly known. WIth an exhaust and intake I can defintily hear where mine kicks in, but as far as "feeling it," its not that much difference. Now if you have DOHC, its a slightly different story.

i have never driven in a v-tec car before (sounds really sad)..but i always imagend it as a boost when you get to a certain rpm, nothing that will blow u to the back seats.but something you can feel..kind of like overdrive in a automatic

With a bigger DOHC vtec you can feel it. In the Teg. Type-R (B18C5) it really makes a difference. There's a video somewhere where you can clearly hear the difference, I'll see if I can dig it up.
