vtec question.
If you really want to feel VTEC, boost it.
I am currently having an issue in 2nd gear. When the VTEC hits (at 4800) my front tires break loose so I have to back off the pedal till they grab again which sucks.

the only time i loose traction is when i shift into second when im hauling ***, the tires chirp but thats cause i roll on monster 18s and continental tires. (came with the car)

With a bigger DOHC vtec you can feel it. In the Teg. Type-R (B18C5) it really makes a difference. There's a video somewhere where you can clearly hear the difference, I'll see if I can dig it up.
Edit: Here ya go.

Here are some dynographs from my stock SHO. In both graphs, I open the secondaries at different RPM's from stock. The graph with the HUGE jump in power had the secondaries open at 5,500 RPM. It shows the restriction in the primary runners above 4,000 RPM. It also felt like nitrous when the runners opened up. The smoother graph had the secondaries open around 3,750 RPM. This makes for a nice smooth power curve for maximum acceleration throughout the RPM range.

EDIT: Thought I would throw in a dyno from my modified SHO. The secondaries are still prevelant with boost. Since I have them opening between the two different torque peaks, they don't break the tires loose, yet it is smooth, linear power.
