it is writen on the front 2000 ls, but its obd1. i hook it up to my single cam d15b7 and it wont start it.mind u i had a b16 ecu for a while and it start my car jus fine of course i had cel light but wasnt worried bout it. i jus get the crank but dosent turn over. there are no serial numbers or barcodes on the side, jus what someone wrote.how do i figure out what it is?

 

Are you sure that there are no other markings anywhere on the ECU?

I don't know how to decode the number, but the only way I know we can identify this is for you to remove the ECU cover and read the code imprinted on the board.

 

oh yea your right. cause i opened it to see if it was chipped. some of the circuits on there japan so. but didnt think of that. thanks

 

but even if i dont figure out what year. why wont it start my car. ive used accord ecus that worked.im hopen its a p28 so i can tune and chip it for when i run vtec
