Default What option for a s/a unit works best for mine?

I' ve looked and looked but became undecisive of which stand alone unit would work best. I have an 01 civic with the d17 and it get's worse. It's the HX model and has the d17a6 with the cvt transmission. It's my first honda"gimme a break". I understand that it's OBDII and sum unit's throw codes due to the knocksensorand other means"blah blah blah" What is the premium unit to get since Hondata doesn't even offer anything for the d17 let alone a rarer d17a6. I've already placed on larger headers and of course, here **** the check engine light. I'm planning on going wideband with the sensors in the future and start going n/a for a while (hoping forged cp piston for the regular d17 works in mine and crower arms) I'm not looking for huge power gains, just sick of not being able to roast tires. Any ideas?.......plz show me where and how.

Honestly...I'd sell it and buy something else.

If you're dead set on keeping it, first thing I'd do is an Auto to Manual swap.

Yes, I've felt the same but can't afford or find one at the time being. I'd like to find a lay out of parts listing to budget this project. Due to my rual location in the midwest newer honda parts, primarily a manual tranny, are hard to find and aren't in demand either. Stuck in the Sahara with a boat."sort of speak"
