Hmm ... I've ran into a little problem . It turns out the tranny isn't a type r at all but its a ys1 tranny .. From what my friend is telling me its better than the type r but its a cable tranny and not hydraulic .. I asked around and I can get a hydraulic to cable conversion for about 300, but is it worth it? I'm also going to need to buy a new starter so everything should cost me around 400 .. Should I go with the the ys1 tranny, just put in my tranny from the vx, or should I buy another tranny for about the same price .. Also, is there a way around all the conversion stuff because I don't really wanna spend that much on the tranny but if I have to I will ..
The VX tranny can't be mounted to a B series motor. I'd go ahead and use the YS1. It's well geared for performance, and the conversion at that price will be cheaper than any hydro B tranny you'll find that's worth getting.
