ok... i have a 93 honda civic dx with a d15b7... but... it has a bent valve. i honestly just want to drive it to get around. how much would i be looking at to find an exact swap. or should i look for something a little better? i'm not sure what i should look for exactly. i have very limited funds right now since i'm in school. any help would be great

A friend of mine has a D15 motor that's free. Only problem is that it's in St. Louis.

if you want a cheap fix just get the engine fixed no need for a swap but if you want a little bit of an upgrade you can put almost any d-series engine or b-series engine in your car you just have to look around for a good price. hope this helps.

less than $400 at a local shop and your car should be back on the road. id personally just either replace the valve or replace the head as its quick, easy, and a whole lot cheaper. save up money do some research and find out what you really want to swap into your car.

Default It's on you. mtchbookromnce18

Swapping an engine can be expensive and at the same time cheap that is if you know what you are doing. I used to have a D16 SOHC (Single Over Head Cam) motor as a stock engine when I first brought my '95 Civic EX. 'D' series isn't bad at all. It can be very powerful with some mods and like I sad before if you know what you are doing it can be very cheap. Even though it's not like having a DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam) 'B' series motor. Which is alittle more power stock than a 'D' series.

I'm on my fourth motor now due to major mechanical knowledge. But I learn more and more by just working on it. It save my some money as well.
