97 civic dx eng swap

can anyone tell me what engines i can swap in , w/o having to change to much . a 97 civic dx 1.6 non vtec , mine is locked up . thanks

D16y7 is the OEM motor. That would be easiest

D16y8 would be the VTEC version of the motor. You would have to run a different ECU, and run like 2-3 wires into the engine bay for VTEC to work.
