The only reason I'd keep the Y7 (Y8 after mini me) would be to keep getting 30+ miles to the gallon on 86-87 octane.

I have a friend who told me that he got really good mileage with his GSR supercharged.

Yeah you can swap to manual, kind of a pain tho. You'd need the trans, linkage, manual ecu, pedals (have to cut a hole for the clutch pedal I think), etc etc. If you're sticking with the D series I'd recommend looking around at some engine sellers and getting a JDM 1.6L ZC SOHC/USDM D16Z6 or a JDM D15B. I like the older head designs better than the Y8. Personally, I'll be trying to land a D15B w/ LSD trans when I can afford it/find one for a decent price. As for your figure of 150-160, it would be hard to reach without changing the internals and bumping the compression way up, which makes tuning rather difficult. At the very least (without internals) you'd need the best intake/exhaust set up you can manage and some serious headwork. That is basically what I'm doing, but I'm not expecting to reach 150, at least not at the wheels. Part of that is me just not wanting to get my hopes up though.

Response is a little late, sorry, but I just now found your post.
