Default RE: H22 Swap

ORIGINAL: XCM828

I've started saving up for an H22 swap into my 97 Civic and I should have the money by the end of next summer (I = jobless). Anyone got pics of their H22 swap in a civic?
i am still waiting on my swap, and here's the pics: https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_114541/tm.htm it doesnt count yet because i still havent heard it run. to say the least this has been a long and frustrating project i believe 10 months now, due to my inexperience, and partly my mechanics procrastination. anyway, most of what has been said is true. it is very expensive due to all the extra crap you have to buy. i got my cv shafts from drive shaft shop for the low price of 800 bucks! not to mention motor mounts, shift linkage, gear box, conversion harnesses and a whole mound of crap i didnt really need but thought would make my car cool. atleast the motor i got has lsd already. whatever, i would be happier driving a stock d-series 9 months ago than still be waiting on this. now if you really want to go with the h22, it swaps much more easily into 88-91 hatchbacks and crx's. hasport swapped an h22 into a 90's model crx, gutted the interior, threw in a hondata p200 ecu, cai, headers, cat back, 550 cc injectors, and dual stage dry shot nos. they were able to consistently pull off 12 second runs. also there are rumors that the extra weight will cause bad handling. true if you use the wrong suspension. Progress sells a spring set designed specifically for the h22 swap so you can avoid poor handling. also bad traction can be circumvented with wide soft sticky compound tires. these are great in ideal conditions but horrible in rain, also with out lsd you will have a hard time making the tires stick to the road just like sacs said.
