Default help a newbie

hey guys i just bought a 2000 civic ex. It has a d16y8 auto and i'm def. gonna do an engine swap, the sohc isn't doing it for me. I know bout the b series and the h series, I just need to know the best engine to put in my car and if i have to worry bout my auto, i'd gladly change it to a manual when i get a swap. Just worried if the auto is gonna play an important part in the swap. help

converting from auto to manual isn't that hard. you just have to find the right parts.

go with a B18c1 if you can afford it, and a b16a2 or a b18b if you cant.
