Default Need Help

Guys my motor threw a rod the other day and i believe it's time to upgrade my 98' EX to a B16 motor. I hear it's an easy drop and won't require much modifications. I'm just a little confused when i went to order it though. There's many type of B16 motors (B16a G1, B16a G2) Which one should i get for my car? I don't want to buy one then realize it's not going to work because it's not for my year car. Is there other stuff i need to buy because of OBD I or II??? Much help is appreciated

you need a g2 (or generation 2) and obd2 would be way easier.

go ahead and go obd1(G1) it will open you up for tunning down the road.

but G1 will come with a cable trans, and if he goes g2, it will be 168hp instead of 160. the cr is 10.4 instead of 10.2. and obd2 would be a way simpler swap.

Sacicons: Thanks for the info. How hard would it be to swap the G1 rather than G2?
