can i make my '05 1.7sohc a vtech without a motor swap? do i do this by replacing the cyl head w/ a v tech cyl head or im i crazy and stupid?thanks for any help

 

Ok, before someone comes in here to castrate you, it's VTEC, wiht no "H".

Now, as for your question, yes, you can make your motor vtec with a head swap. The only thing is that the Mini-ME, as it's called, isn't really worth it on the 1.7. Your Dx/Lx has 117Hp I think. A mini me is only gonna net you 8-10 Hp. Not really worth it for the time and money of a head swap, from what I understand.
