Default '96 dx hatch ... which parts

From what I understand, first I should get a new intake system, and a cold air intake system (with a longer pipe) is better than a short ram system, right?
Then, next, I'll need to upgrade my exhaust to a cat-back.
Then, a new fuel pump, flywheel, belts, ignition system, and such. I don't think I'll get as far as a new fuel pump for a while, that sounds hard to install.this for a while...

But I would like to upgrade my intake and exhaust for now, and I'm not sure which parts to get. I'm not looking to spend thousands to upgrade the '96 dx hatch (d16y7 engine, 106hp stock...sad I know), but I'd like to get a little more power and efficiency out of the vehicle. Which not-incredibly-expensive partts should I get? I'm pretty new to this so I could use some help. Thanks!

look into a y8 intake manifold for it then get your SRI orCAI, do the cat back exhaust then do a header. i dont understand what the fuel pump is going to do for u.

the y8 intake is really worth it, ive got one on my y7 makes a good difference
