for the money, the best swap would be a high-end B series like a B18C1 (GSR)

 

Plus one go B series for best swap. A B20 Vtec is the best way to go B18C1 is the next best. I have a 98 Hx also but decided to stick with the D16y5. It has roller rockers, more valve lift than the y8 and vtec that comes on at 3000 rpms! Y5+bolt ons+spray or y5+turbo= 200+hp. Dont place aside the y5 I beat Ex's and CRX Si's with my y5.
