Default 99 Civic SI with b18a

Need to know something, I have a 99 civic SI with a B18a block, but it has a vtec head cover. I don't know too much about the vtecs so I am wondering if it is just the cover or it is an LS/Vtec... Any pointers on this dilemma

It has a b18a block I believe.. That is what it say on the block.. Someone told me it wasn't a vtec engine, they just put the headcover on there that says vtec. I dont know the engine code off hand

the cover wont fit a non-vtec head, so yes, its a frankenstein LS/Vtec.

If you're planning to start building/boosting an LS/VTEC, start with the bottom end, as it's going to be the weakest point.
