i have a 96 auto civic ,with a d16y7 can i mini me with an auto trans? thx 4 the help.

 

yeah. vtec controlls the timing and lift of the valves and has nothing to do with the transmission.

 

awsome so to do a mini me i have to get the di6y8 head and ,run an oil line? and then jump the ecu, right? preety sure thats what i read. thx 4 the help

 

You can even get an auto B16 and aut H22. Then youll have DOHC VTEC auto

 

kool but doesnt the y8 bolt right in? i saw a y8 for 500.00 canadian, the whole engine, so should that bolt right in my 96 civic with a y7? then i would just need to run the wire 4 the solinid,4 the v-tec,or is there more to it? ,is there an oil line to run aswell? im searchin in the forums ,soill chek back l8r. thx

 

yes its the same engine with a different head. 500 CAD is pretty good...thats about what a complete mini-me costs. id jump on it if i were you.
