b16b vs b18c5

its got the same stats as the type-r teg motor
...except for the displacement. And actually, it's only 11:1 CR (an almost insignificant difference) and 10 lb/ft more torque. If you can find someone/someplace to do an install who knows their stuff, definitely go for it. $2,500 is a hell of a deal (is that for E/T/ECU?)

- With Clutch components assembled to the engine

• Wiring Harness

Damn, I'd ****** that up. Normally they run around $4,000. But is the engine tested, and does it have any kind of guarantee/warranty?

go with b18c5, stock i run 13.9 at 107 and with 50 shot nos i run 12.8 at 123. can't do that in ctr.

i am still a novice to the engine types the 18c1 is the type r? c5 gsr? 18c=?
kap i can get the f20 for the same price how complicated is the swap?

You got those backwards. c5 is type-r and c1 is gsr.

well for one..the type r motor is like another 3 grand. yes it IS faster stock, but the gsr motor holds up better on mods and is only a little slower then the r motor and alot cheeper

well wait. the type r motor doesnt necessarily not hold up on mods. it just wont take to turbo as well as the slightly lower compression GSR/b18c1. for NA, the type r motor is hard to beat.
