Default b18a1 good bottom end build prices

hey guys, the b18 that i'm droppin into my 93 del sol and boosting i found out is a b18a1. i'm looking for a good deal on a set of pistons, rods and rings. the best deal i've found so far would be on Ebay... it will be just under 700 ($697.29) shipped to be exact. is this a good deal or do yall know of a better place to get them for a better price? let me know. thanks. btw incase ur wondering why i'm not using stock internals... i'll be pushing 280-300whp when i'm done tuning on my turbo (16g or equivelant)

Stock block can take that with a conservative tune.

With an efficient set up, and conservative tune, yes.

I would sleeve it if I were you going for that high of HP. It is also a good idea to sleeve it after 14 psi.

no
the stock sleeves can handle alot more than just 14 psi.
they are steel lined sleeves and can handle alot more than than, on the motor i built. bored .20 over, so its a thinner cyl wall, is doing 22 psi all day.
there is no compression loss and no problems with the motor

don't cheap out when it comes to boosting your car, especially when it comes to piston rods and heads.

they're the weak link in honda engines when it comes to boost, so buy some good ones.

and then get a good tune because a poor one will take all your money and blow a hole into it just like your engine block will have eventually.

too much ignition timing causes instant engine block windows.

and if i were you (looking to reach upwards of 300 hp), I would definitely sleeve your engine block.

some of the newer ductile iron sleeves can take 500 boosted hp without breaking a sweat.

well some performance shops can install them for you, every place it alked to to have it done wanted 600 installation fee and 550 for the sleeves, so IMO i wouldnt recomend you get them if your goin to stay aroudn the 300 hp mark.

those LS motors are suprisingly strong and can take 12 psi Daily Driven. with supporting mods
