b18c block and b16a2 top end
I have a b16a2 motor in my civic, I was looking for more power from my motor, but dont want to go turbo. I am new to this so please dont laugh if this is a stupid question. will a b18c short block fit on my motor if I used all the top end from my b16 and what would that do for my power (is it worth it). I have a friend that is selling me a block for $1000. Please let me know what else i would need for this swap or if it is really worth it..

you could probably find a b18c block for a little cheaper than 1000. If your gonna rev that high I would recommend putting some arp bolts in your rod so you can

RE: b18c block and b16a2 top end
well if its a b18c block it wouldnt hurt to put htem in there. but its not really needed unless its getting boosted or reving out high.
is it a bare block or a assembled short block?
as for the head you need to do minor machine work. pluging a port on the b16head and sourcing oil from the back of the block. and wiring the vtec soleniod

Should I do the b16 block with gsr head of do the block and keep the b16 head. When im replacing the gsr head on b16 do i need to bore the head or will it just fit right on the motor, also who would do the boring in needed.. what should i do with my motor. I am planning on boosting it in september when i put it away for the winter.
