Default black all over my bumper help

my friend has a 96 ex, and part of his red bumper is now black. At first i thought that it was burning oil, but it was not. My friend said it was just carbon, but there is just so much of it, it can't be carbon. He has a full exhaust system, cold air intake, alternator and p/s pullies, skunk 2 intake manafold and a few other things. Why is his car doing this?

Running rich probably... Also what kind of a tip does he have? Is it sticking out from behind the bumper? He simply might need to extend it an inch so that exhaust doesn't travel onto the bumper

add more air lol. If he didnt touch the fuel system its prolly not running rich. Just extend the exhaust tip.

if it is like black dots, billions of them all over the bumper it is unburn fuel, i have the same issue because my exhaust is angled up and ou tsideways, so about every 2 weeks i have to take some glass cleaner to it and it comes right off.
