thats an even more detailed explanation of it. i like that better than mine, even though its pretty much the same idea. his is dyno proven and more precise. go with MotoMans plan.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Exactly right, synthetic oil will not allow the rings to seat
because you have no metal to metal contact with synthetic
oils. use reg. petroleum oil for at least 500 miles to seat the rings
then switch to synthetic. The new barrel shaped piston rings
seat at 500 miles whereby the old square rings used to take
a few thousand miles.
break in a new engine driving on load / off load accelerating
and decelerating. Up and down hills is good too.
