Default Proper D16Z6 Timing/ Idle Adj Procedures

I have a 94 Civic EX with a D16Z6. I recently changed the timing belt, etc. What are the proper procedures to timing the engine with the timing light and adjust the idle controls? I aligned the timing marks, etc when I did the change and the car runs great.

I have a timing light already and tachometer with alligator clips for adjustments to the idle controls. Where do I connect the tach at since the coil is in the dizzy?

thanks,

I'm not a mechanic, but on my 93 D15B7, I clamped my sears engine analyzer tach lead, based on the manual, onto the #1 cylinder spark plug wire as close to the distributor as possible.
