i put a d16a6 camshaft in my car (d15b7)and now it runs like sh*t. no power. it will drive. when it is cold it drives low rpms ok and once it warms up it drives low rpms so-so, when i try to get on it it revs up like it wants to go but dosent. it gets loud like at higher rpms but the rpms dont shoot up really past 3 grand.i feel it wanting to go but it does not. any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. also i just left the d16a6 cam gear on it. does it need to be swaped to the d15b7 cam gear? i think i maybe put it a tooth off on the timing belt or possible the more aggressive lobes i need to adjust the valves a bit.

 

make sure the gears have the same number of teeth. I would think they would, but if not, youll have huge problems in a hurry. but it sounds like youve got the cam timing off by a tooth.
