Bolt ons are cheap, but they won't give you that much power. Also, i think most bolt ons will have to be taken out if you get a turbo. The common bolt ons are I/H/E. When you get the turbo, your gonna have to take the intake and the headers out. So maybe go with the exhaust. Your best bet is still to build it. If you could think that you can take the motor apart go for it. You could take the engine apart and when you have it down the the block with the crank, rods, and pistons in it you could send it to a machine shop and have them sleeve it and install the new internals. Thats what i plan to do. I'm thinking that i can have my motor sleeved and the new internals installed for like 2k.

Agreed. Well it's obvious you need a new exhaust manifold, and intake, I am way past that. How bout ignition, pulleys, grounds, intake manifold. . . . . . I am actually going to talk to someone I know who's bro builds bad *** racing engines and see what he can do. I think I can handel taking my block apart and having someone put it back together, thanks for the advice.

If you can take the engine apart, why can't you put it back together? You might want someone to sleeve the block and put the bottom end together because that requires precision. But putting the block together should be something you can do if you could take it apart.

Yeah, I don't want to put the bottom end together. Or do headwork myself . . .

You shouldn't have a problem assemblying the head unless your getting a P&P or a valve job. If your just gonna swap out the valves, springs, and retainers, its really not that hard to do. You will need a valve spring compressor tool.

yeah, that shouldn't be too hard. I'm not even done with my swap yet! I'm getting way ahead of myself. I still have to get some shift linkage bushing washers, hook up my sub harness, and some other **** tomorrow. Then that will be the first time I have driven a b16! I can't wait to hit v tec!
