Default burning noise within cabin

hey guys, so tonight i traveled about 40 miles and i started to smell a burning smell while i was in the parking lot. I can't really describe it much - it wasn't that strong, but still noticeable enough. I tried to smell the exterior of the car and nothing. So i went inside to eat and when icame back out, drove home and the smell was gone. Should i be worried?
I'm also close to an oil change, but my oil still looks fine. and i was running low on gas too during this time if it has anything to do with it. and i drive an 01 at 59,300 miles.

The odor may have come from a car in front of you or elsewhere rather than your car.
