Default changeing vtec...

as yall know in my previous posts i told yall that i dont hear/feel my vtec and some ppl said that i dont have it...i have a d17a2 and i was wondering if i changed to a stronger vtec will my cars performance increase?...and it is expensive...or do i have to change the solenoid?...or is that the same thing lol

Ummm.... stronger vtak? That exists? Str... I'm not even sure what to say about that.

You have a single cam; that's why you can't hear the vtec engagement. On B-series engines, you can hear the vtec crossover because there's two cams switching over; you have a single cam. And you shouldn't feel the crossover either; it was designed to be a smooth crossover.

You want more power, boost the d17 or swap to a k20.

Try searching this forum. Some people might have boosted D17s already. There may be whole threads on that topic.
