Default Check Engine Light

Hey guys,
New to the site.
I have got a problem that maybe you guys can figure out. I've got a 96' Honda Civic LX 4dr from Canada. Don't know how I "lucked out" on getting a Canadian model but I did. My speed shop isn't even sure what type engine it is or if it has v-tec or not. Anyways, driving it tonight, I noticed the CEL ( Check Engine Light) came on. Why is that? Could it be the O2 Sensor, MAF Sensor, Air Circuit to the Exauhst Problem? What is it? Help me out. Thanks

That sounds like a speed shop run by ricers who can't tell if there's no sticker...

Take it to AAP or Autozone and get them to tell you what code you're throwing.
