I'm getting some H Beam connecting rods formy JDM D15B. Will these rods fit?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Eagle...spagenameZWDVW
They are eagle part number CRS5394H3D. That has .748" wrist pin, 5.394' C-C Length,. 898" BIG END, and 1.771 crank pin.


This is the tunertoys versionfor JDM D15B but I cant get them shipped to Canada. Will the other ones work with my engine? Someone told me H-Beams aren't made inthe right length for JDM D15b.

I found a guy getting these and I might order some.

"D15Z1 and D15B motors have a rod that is the same length as a D16. Other than the rod length, the rest of the bottom end is D15 spec (i.e. rod and crank bearings). D15B has D16 sized rod journals. D15B uses the same p28 rods that the D16z6 does. All other D15s have smaller rod journals."

So will any rods that say they work for D16, will work with my engine with Vitara pistons? That just confuses me more because this says D15B has 137mm rod length. But I foudn these "JDM D15 Custom Length I beams" they are 136.40mm length and it says Vitara Piston will be at .002 below deck height.
They also have "D16 Standard Length H beams" 137mm length and it says "This rod will fit any aftermarket piston (Vitara/CP/Wiseco/SRP/Arias...etc)".
Do you think I need the jdm d15 custom length I beams? They are slightly shorter in length, i'm confused. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm actually not entirely sure. I know the decreased displacement in the d16 is from decreased stroke..so I'd think the rods for a d16 would fit. You may want to research a lot more though, there's a reason I a z6 over a d15b...

 

Ya I found out the JDM D15B uses d16 connecting rods. But the guy selling the vitara's said that d16 rods wont work with those pistons. I don't know why they wouldn't, does anyone know what connecting rods work with vitaras?

EDIT: Just found out, On a JDM d15b with Vitaras and Eagles the piston will stick out the top and you will have to run a Thicker HG.

Does anyone know what headgasket to use?
