they start to go out around 100-150k. second usually goes first. fortunately enough pulling a honda tranny isnt at all hard.

ya mine is going out right as we speak. it grinds in first, to second and a little to third. thank god im getting my b16a2 put in in less than a month.

Is this the same for the autos? that kinda sucks... i thought honda was supposed to be reliable? sounds like any other manufacturor to me....[>:]

the engines are reliable. and their trannys are way more reliable than a lot of car c ompanies.

They are great cars but factory reliability is all but thrown out the window after you start modding.

My trans is horrible. You have to let it down to under 4 grand to shift to 2nd and 3rd with out it grinding. If I shift fast at redline, it wont even go into gear. Im swaping in my B series as well, but I want to find a way to not let that happen to it.

this really sucks, i'm on the same boat with the grinding in 2nd and 3rd, and sometimes it doesn't even go into gear without me shifting it to neutral and trying again and again, same with 1st. so should i just do a ex tranny swap or what!?
