Default d15b7 - d15b8

okay....one has something like 8valves and the other has 16valves? what's what?! how can i tell whichi have?!


this sucks.....



1992 Honda Civic 5spd, 7k redline, I think DX....so what is this thing?! give me good news lol

look on the engine block to the right of the header, it will either say d15b7 or d15b8. or your could take the valve cover off and see 8 rocker arms or 16 rocker arms

dude, couldn't find it. =( on the right of the header. plus it's raining outside and my water leak is massive...nothing to with anything just sucks lol ; )



were else can i look to determine this?

aw my bad man i ment the left side of the block right by were the tranny bolts up theres a little square patch

It's that flat patch almost directly below the oil filler hole, so expect to have to clean a lot of oil off of it. The top line is the engine type and the bottom line is the serial number. Your valve cover should say "16 VALVE" in big letters on it if it's the D15B7. On the very underside of the engine where the oil pan meets it looking up there are more numbers but I don't think those mean much.

or.... u know by how incredibly slow it is lol i just bought one with a b8 and...holy! its the slowest thing to man

but yeah like they said look to the left of theheader itlll say! and if u have b8 ursh!t out of luck. we'll be in the same boat....well fornow for me!

alright mk378 i got it, it's 16valve...thank god, i had a feeling when you said it would be slow as ****, it's pretty pepped. lol thank god, well i'm hopefully going to find an ls b18 and drop her in anyways, just wanted to know. thanks and thank you too rice burner.
