D15B8 question
Ive got the D15B8 motor right now, i want to swap heads...i want the 16 valve head. I know the D15B2 head works. What other options do i have? and what option do i have that will give me v-tec?

riceburner700 is swapping a y8 head onto a d15 (i think), so i'm pretty sure its possible. The swap you are tlaking about (swapping headers/ECUs to get VTEC) is called a mini-me swap. Google it or use Search at the top here on HCF. You'll find lots of info about it. It's quite common and if done correctly can give you some good power.

actualy i did neither.
the motor in the car was orignaly a d15b8( 8 valve). swapped a d15b7(16 valve) onto as it sits now.
As for the motor im building it is a d16y7 from top to bottom and thats how its getting built. no vtec or anything

Ok so i am definitaly going with the D16Z6 head, and p28 ecu...im ready for some VTEC...oh and i found an awesome idea to put an LED light to come on when i hit VTEC. well any help or suggestions about the swap would be greatly appreciated
