Default Engine Build Questions

Fist off is 10:0:1 compression too high for boost? Second I'm buying some new parts for the swap like water pump, timing belt and so on, but do I need to worry about the alternator & the distributor, or can I leave the old ones on and be okay?

Thanks

no its not to high...theres an integra out there on streetfire running 11.5:1 CR with 12 psi of boost out of a roots supercharger. i would recommend getting lower comp pistons when you start tearing into the bottom end tho.

if there is nothing wrong with them then don't replace them, but i would get a new cap, rotor, and stuff for the dizzy.

and yeah 10:1 is about as high as i would ever go for boost, most people usually run about 8.5-9:1 compression for boost.
