Default Engine Damper

I got an 89 civic with a B18A1 in it and it has Hasport mounts in it and it shakes like a son of a bitch at idle. I am wondering if an aftermarket engine damper will fix this issue. The engine doesn't move much at all even when under load. I appreciate any answers.

Have you tried increasing the idle speed? Is the engine misfiring?

ya tune up the motor or raise the idle so it doesnt shake as much.... a engine dampener IVE READ will make the vibration feel even worse on the car............

i advice SEAFOAM the motor and if that doesnt help tune the motor up, new plugs, wires fuel injector cleaner. ya know typical tune up stuff.
try the seafoam first and see if that helps.

the motor runs perfect its the fact that the Hasport mounts are polyurethane so there is little play in them. So the entire car shakes and the lower the idle the worse it gets and I don't feel like raising it from 700 rpm. well I appreciate the advice I will just keep livin with it. I wanted to be a little more quiet for when I give people rides. I am going for the sleeper look with this thing. The only thing killin me is the dumbass I bought it from had a 5" Auto Meter tach installed right on the damn dash.

i installed one in my car and it adds a very little vibration... i absolutely hated my poly mounts and got rid of them asap when i did my motor swap, just bought some "jdm" mounts, and then my engine damper, my motor stays great and they are rubber so they suck of the vibrations..

so your best bet would be to throw away those annoying mounts, buy new ones and an engine damper... my opinion at least

well I am still in the middle of a debate with myself on whether or not to make it just a daily driver or daily driver/autocross machine. I am going to leave it for now and just drive my Firebird if I have a date or somethin. I appreciate the opinion. But I think I am going to go damn near racing machine with this car.
