Engine Swap Advice and Help.
Hello everyone. My name is Johan Svensson and im from Sweden.
I recently bought a Honda Civic EJ9 1.4 -98 with a D14A4 Engine, and now i want to make a engine swap from a Honda Civic 1.6 Vtec.
My current car:
Honda Civic EJ9 1.4 -98 with a D14A4 Engine.
The car i want to take engine from: (not much info but will give u as much as i can and a link)
Honda Civic 1.6 Vtec -93
Honda Civic 1.6 Vtec | Jönköping | Blocket
That is the link to the spareparts car i want to buy and take the engine from.
My questions now is, if its possible to make a engine swap on those 2 cars
And if there are any other spareparts you need, and the approx price of those?
I have very experienced friends who can help me with the engine swap and all that, i only need to have it confirmed that it is possible so i can make a "safe buy".
Would really appreciate the help!
Best regards /Johan Svensson

unless swedens different, you will need convert to obd1, your car is obd2. so that car's wiring harness and ecu, unless you're going to use a stand-alone unit.
intake manifold, injectors, basicly you need almost everything under the hood, obd1 distributor.
i cant tell whats wrong with that 1.6 civic that you have in that link, but you're really better off fixing the body work and just driving the 1.6
it would be easier, cheaper, and you would have less down time with your car. plus that car is lighter than a 98.
just personal thoughts and advice.
