Ok, I am not the best at worken on stuff liek this i have done a bit but i love my honda's .... like u care... anyway. I just got a 92 honda civic DX. Well I have newer engine for it the one in is burning oil at 295k. well when i bought the car the guy said he had just pulled a engine out of a del sol and he would though it in. but as i was looken it up i found on oe site that there is a Del Sol Si and just a plan Del Sol at least thats what this site said. anyone and i am not sure whitch it is or even what year it is other then it has the same motor mounts. he also gave me the computer and tranny for it but I would like to know what it is but i am not sure how to do this... i have not done alot of engine work other then i fix every thing my self. so... if anyone could give me a tip or any info or maybe a link to somthing that would help me out... Also i was wondering this because i was thinking about trying to put A/C in every one keeps saying it's a big job and not worth it.. but i like my car and i would like to put it in... if possable... anyway.

u gotta check on the block......itll say the engine code.....its most likely a SOHC if ur lucky its a Vtec

 

look next to the header on the left, there is a small flat spot on the block that has a number/letter combo stamped into it (you may need to wipe it off to read it) whats that say?

 

I'll get the number on monday it's at a garage. A buddy of my dads place so that we can use the lift.. thanks for the help i'll get the number monday and if i still can't figue it out then i'll post again.... i just started posting on this forum... and it's wicked haha the guy that i got the engine from said it was Vtec so i am hopeing it is.. anyway thanks

 

K, on the flat part it said "D16Z6" then on the same flat part unter that it said "27116116"
on a diffrent spot on it it said "B301261368" those where the only numbers on it i could find.

Does that sound right i found it on the net but i want to make sure.
