What would be the advantages, if any, to having a second generation B16A, to a first gen? Besides the obvious stuff of "probably newer parts, and less mileage" on the newer motor?

its obd1 or 2 vs obd0, making a swap in an obd1 or 2 car easier. what year is your car again? also, a jdm b16a gen 2 has 10.4:1 compression vs the gen 1s 10.2:1, good for about 8hp, putting it at 168.

right. the 2000 si has a second gen USDM b16a2, which has the specs of the older JDM one, at 10.2:1 CR and 160 hp.
