H22a EG here I come!
Well I have been pondering what swap to do for a while now and I honestly think I want an h22a swap. My 94 hatch will be the target and it is not a daily driver, more of the weekend warrior and local dragstrip meet car. Yes this would cost me about 3600 for swap and labour/ engine mounts but this is affordable for me as I have a good job and the shops around here want about 3800 to do a b16a swap. Now ofcourse im going to do research and check out a few other swaps that can be done, what else do you guys recommend I swap? If I get someone to swap it for me I can have it done by May. If I do it I will have to wait until I get back from trades school in July. I found someone in my city that does swap work and he offered me this:
Hey Drew,
TheH22a engineswap is $1800 (includes engine, transmission, wiring harness, ecu, and shifter w/ cables) + $950 labour for install+ $600 for hasport motor mounts + $250 for custom built axles. Mandrel bent exhaustfor a 94 civicHBis $200 including labour and materials. I have a lot of experience with H22 EG's if you have any other questions feel free to ask.-Scott703-8342Here ismy Del Sol with an H22 swap, itis similar to your civic as they share the same style of chassis.Thisis one of my header back exhausts, all mandrel bends, all TIG welded for superior weld quality. It was built for aB18C swapped Honda CRX.

[:@]damn i wish canadians used more craiglist, lol. Unfortunately its not as popular here as the US. AS far as prices go, its pretty much a good deal in the economy here. Im just wondering should I swap it myself later in july or get someone to do it in may for me and pay the labour? Ive never done much engine work or any swaps. thanks though

save yourself the money and do it yourself. I've done a ton of research on h22 swaps and they aren't really all that hard... The wiring seems to be the hardest part (that and actually getting the engine in the bay).
