Question help with breather?!?!

as of now i have a cold air intake on my 1998 honda civic h/b (engine: D16Y7) and there is a rubber hose that connects the engine with the intake...i just wanted to know if the breather filter(looks like a small cold air filter) goes where the hose is connected to the engine...and if it does go there will it be a good addition to the engine...its only 5$...thanks!

Yea that's where it goes. Then you have to plug up the hole on the intake tube.
They don't really do anything much. The stock configuration is better for the environment, that's about all. Basically it's under the hood bling. $5, I say go ahead if you care about under the hood bling. lol, I have one.
