Default High Idle.*UPDATE*

Okay so my car has been idling high for a little now...........and i thought it was the air in the coolant system......so i started the car, let the thermo open and loosened the bleed nut till a steady flow of coolant came out and no air bubbles.......still have the problem.........car starts and idles too high, then after a few mins it goes from 0-2300rpms rmmm rmmmmm rmmmmmm and it pisses me off............the thermo gauge is in the middle, but the car aint warm cuz the heat doesnt work for a little longer (you can tell when ur car is warmed up)............so it feels like the gauge says the car is warm, but its not warm for a few more mins.........WTF? Then after 10 or so mins the car runs fine...........im confused. Whats going on>?@!?!?!

I really think it is the cold weather. Every year I go through various idling problems during the winter, but when summer rolls along, the all seem to go away.

I dont know exactly what the problem is, I had this same thing happend whne my mani and TB was installed it would go up and down like that. Im thinking idle control valve, or maybe youre TPS needs to be adjusted. I really dont know.

i had something like this happen to me a while back like about 1 1/2 years ago and it was soon after i took a nice 7-9 hour drive driving about 400 miles.
it turned out something in my intake mani was dirty and i took it it and they cleaned it out because i didnt no **** about what was going on and you no those guys at the mech. shop they try to sell you all sorts of ****.
so after the cleaning it was fine.. it happened a few times at around the begging of the summer but doesnt happen anymore but like above it can be a many number of things.

sounds like your thermostat is sticking until it gets hot and expands enuff to unstick itself. also use a timing light and adjust your high idle screw to adjust the rpm if you think it's to high

OK, so i had the coolant system flushed out, and sacs gave me a good way to see if its a vac line leak........well sacs i sprayed the carb cleaner on the vac lines and NONE of them make the engine sputter.......so the vac is good im assuming...................im going to get some new spark plug wires and a new cap/rotor.........because if i remove the far right spark plug wire, the engine stops doing it.....if this does not work i am going to get the timing checked.........i was thinking the TPS might be screwed up........but supposidly that would result it more than just a poor idle........any other suggestions?
