Default High Output Alternators

I just found out mine was fried by my Audio System and i need
to get a new one, much better one with more amps. If im not
mistaking, the stock alt. is75amps.

Does anyone know where i can find some reliable ones for a
cheap price?

Ebay has some, but their pretty expensive...
229.00 for a High Output (160amps, which is enough for
a 1500 watt audio system) I have a 1600 watt audio system.
Anyone have feedback on the ebay alternators?

Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure alot of shops will rebuild them for you, but if not, I know alot of people run "stinger" alternators, they might be somewhat pricey, but they look awesome, all chromed out and stuff, and they range from like 200 amp to 350, something crazy like that.

I am too lazy to look it up right now, but I know thats a big car audio favorite brand. Check them out.

http://stores.ebay.com/EAGLE-ELECTRIC

Way cheaper if you order from him over the phone, no ebay fee's and paypal fee's to compensate. Got mine for 150 shipped on 2-3 day priority.

Also check ebay store Alterstart.
These are all OEM drop ins, so no modifying to get them to fit/work right

As for feedback, you were probably looking at one from one of those stores. Mine from Eagle works great, he only sends you an 8 guage cable but just use your own 4 guage to go to fuse box and then to battery, and of course upgrade your ground wire if it isn't already.
