whats the most hp that i can get from a turbo for my 2005 EX D17??? or what do you guys think i should do for more HP???

with the money you will have to spend to turbo that motor it would be better to spend some extrta bucks and drop in a k-series motor. will not only have the reliability but more hp than the turbo d17. can always turbo down the road

 

you may be able to push it up around 225whp with a good tune

 

on those rods though marty, they are toothpicks?

 

They're no thinner than D16 rods, no?

(Crower makes forged D17 rods btw.)

 

The D17 is just a bad motor to boost stock (compared to a different D series). Its just more work and higher risk, but it can be done. Change the fuel system and get a solid tune and 200whp will be safely acheived.

i know a k will run ya about 5600 before shipping and tax. ebay you can buy one for 4800 before tax and shping. If you wait and look all the time you can find a k20a on ebay for 2000-3000 bucks...yes iv seen it.
