I've seen those hoods people have that have inlets on them. I've never really known or seen what appears to be holes go all the way through or they just make them look like that. If they do go all the way through, do they cool the engine? If so, wouldn't they also make everything under the hood dirtier--bringing in dust, etc.? (I'm not talking about ram air hoods). Thanks.

Any hood with an "inlet" or scoop or vent will cool the engine but its not needed. I think just the fast that so many ricers have fake scoops and vents has ruined it for me.

but personally, I eventually plan on getting an aerogear predator hood... my engine bay gets pretty friggin' hot (the header really doesn't help in that respect lol), so I'm thinking every little thing I do will help. And don't worry about bringing in dust... trust me, your engine sees plenty of dust/water/whatever without the scoops/vents; I doubt they'd bring in enough to make a difference (trust me... I do construction work... I know all about dust and engine bays lol)

well if u will like to keep ur engine cooler u could replace the radiator to a koyo or fluidyne. with a aftermarket fan.a guy at work changed his raiator and fan and said that it works dam great, but yea thats one way but not really necessary unless u have major cooling prob. i suppose

Nice new radiator and an oil cooler would be great.

Reaper, I doubt your bay is as hot as you think it is. With those mods it should be the same as stock. Try boosting that sumbitch, then you'll feel some REAL heat
