Default i need help y8 to z6

if i swap my y8 out for a z6.... what do i need to do.... will i just drop in with any problems or will i need to switch to obd1... im trying to save myself some time in getting my civic running again... my wife ran the thing out of oil while i was deployed and now my bottom end is done for... i would just find a y8 to bolt in but for some reason i cant find any near me but z6's are rather abundant

A z6 will bolt in but the plugs and sensors are different. The z6 is an older obd1 and the y8 is a obd2. You would need the p28 obd1 ecu and an obd2 to obd1 jumper. This would not be a legal swap and you would not pass emissions. Just stick with the y8 it has a better head that the z6 anyways.
