I WANT TO KILL...
OK, i changed my damn rod bearings and it didn't take the noise away. I said OK, lets change the main bearings now, we did that and now WTF!!! the noise is still there!!! WTF else can it be. I want to hang myself...

RE: I WANT TO KILL...
It sounds like a connecting rod bearing is going out but it is actually quite faint. Its not that loud yet. But the bearings are brand new! Can the valvetrain make a noise while your driving that makes a noise that sounds like a rod or what else, besides the bottom end bearings, could it be???

RE: I WANT TO KILL...
rods-knocking sound gets louder as rpm increases
mains-hollow knocking at idle and low rpm, usually clears up as rpm increases
valve chatter-very very quick tapping sounds, they will destinctivly sound from the head.
one thing i failed to mention in my pm is that the flywheel will make a knocking sound if loose. sounds exactly like mains and rods going out at the same time.
