Improving mileage with no pomp?
Hello! First post here.
I'm just about to get a salvaged 2005 Civic EX, and I know very little about cars so I may sound stupid here... but am learning.
I've done some research on DYI's to improve mileage, but it all has to do with speed/horsepower/sound etc.
I know those are related to mileage, but I really honestly don't care about performance/hp/sound etc. at all, all I care about is reliability and mileage... so for instance if I were to get a cold-air intake the ONLY reason I would get one is for improved gas mileage.
Knowing that, what DYI's would you suggest to the Civic for mileage?

i say the most effecent idea would be put a vtec-e head on it. u would also need the ecu that goes with this head.its the best gas saver out there. but depends how much work ur willing to do to save gas. an the idea of a cold air intake is to get better air induction but with that u change ur air to fuel ratio (not by much) which increases the amout of gas u use. thats jus wat i think.
