Hey guys i dont know an extreme amount about the engine side of things. But i do have a question, I want to get an intake for my 2005 civic lx, but it seems its hard to find. Most of them are made for 2004 or 2003 that are in the same year class. Did the engine change at all from those years to my 2005? And will those year intakes fit my car? Also what is my engine model number? Like b-what? or d-what? sorry i know i seem like a newbie but atleast i had the courage to ask. Thanks

 

Not sure about the 05's. 02's are d17a1 non v-tec in LX and DX. d17a2 v-tec in EX. Can you post some pictures of your engine bay? From various angles if possible. I still have the installation instructions for my K & N CAI with pictures.

 

i dont have a pic yet but i will get one. My sister has a 2004 4 door civic and her engine looks exactly the same to me.

 

its the same car budd-ro. to be safe, just get a short ram intake kit for a 2004.

will the CAI for the 2004 not work on it? I would rather get the CAI
