Default JDM B16A2 - same ignition timing as a USDM B16A2 ?

Hi,
Is the ignition timing for a JDM B16A2 the same as its international, or say American counterpart. I know the fuel octane is different, but how might this affect the ignition timing. Basically is the ignition timing for a JDM B16 retarded or advanced when compared to a USDM B16?

secondly if anyone knows, Ive also put ITR cams in my B16A, would i need to change my ignition timing in light of this? Whats everyone's experience with stage 1/ITR/CTR cams?

The mechanical timing or the ecu timing ? Stage 1? CTR cams are stock cams from civic type Rs or the b16b stock cam. And to get the most out of the cam it should be tuned at the very least you should get the timing light on it after you swap the cams. Also are you changing redline ctr make more power up top to 8900rpm ?

i meant the actual ignition timing, mechanical timing if you will, the kind you use a timing light and rotate the distributor to set.
