a little help needed please

Default a little help needed please

i have a 1994 civic eg9 with the b16a2 engine it over the last 2 days the engine starts to make a bit of excess noise like a rattling sound between 2000 - 3000 rpm, the noise seems to be coming from the timing belt area of the engine but the belt was only changed 6000 miles ago any i deas what the noise mite be any ideas will be appreciated

Maybe one of the pulleys or gears came loose and is making that rattling sound. I would treat this as a very serious issue, since if one of the gears is rattling after a while it could break from its bolt and this will cause major engine damage if this is a crank or cam pulley. I would take the car back to the shop that did the work and insist that they fix the problem. If you did the job yourself, take the timing cover off and check all the pulleys and gears for looseness.
