I feel kinda dumb asking this, but what are the differences between the short and long block d16y8 blocks other than the obvious? Im looking to buy a block off a guy locally for a 12-15lb boostproject, and want to make sure I can use the "short" block

i heard on here that short block just refered to whats with the block....like, long block would be block/heaad/oil pan....short block would be just the block.....

and i was unaware that there was short/long block (in size) varient of the d16. so im going to have to say thats right.
